Whimsical pottery for the functional home.
As someone who likes to get their hands dirty - literally and figuratively - clay was a perfect fit.
I'm inspired by the whimsical and colorful illustrations of children's books as well as the woven textures often found in traditional basket weaving, and I try to tell a story on each piece of clay through hand-built details, textures, and colors. Many of my pieces have both organic and more rigid, industrialized elements, merged together to create one-of-a-kind vessels. Each piece pictured is handmade by me in my West Philly studio.
